Ever taken part in a school-play? You know, at the schoolís Great Evening in which a lot of pupils perform, some of them playing leading roles, others doing the music while hundreds of pupils and parents watch and enjoy themselves?

Well, you are not the first one! Letís go back 300 years and see how a boarding school in England performed a school-play which became so popular that it is well-known to many people even today.
